Our facilities

Pitches

During the winter season Stirling Districts Football Club maintains two full-sized grass pitches. The western pitch is dedicated to senior games, and the eastern pitch is dedicated to junior games. Both pitches are used throughout the year for training. During the twilight season 4 half sized pitches are used for both Senior and Junior competitions.

Futsal

SDFC also has a specialized Futsal pitch situated above the club-rooms. The pitch is constructed from a synthetic surface also used on European pitches and is suitable for year round use. The Futsal pitch is a great way for our coaches to mix up their teams’ training and is particularly great for our juniors, who are able to benefit from the quicker pace and necessary focus that the playing surface demands. The pitch is fitted with flood lights, that also cover the parking lot, and is used by both senior and junior teams for practice sessions when the grass pitch is too wet for training.

The Futsal pitch allows minimal disruption to both training and games, as it allows us to keep our grass pitches in the best condition possible throughout the year. The Futsal roster is managed by our coaches and committee to allow all teams equal access to this great facility.

Clubhouse and change-rooms

SDFC has full canteen and clubhouse facilities with a fully stocked kitchen and bar, ample space for tables, chairs and activities, as well as toilets. The clubhouse overlooks the two grass pitches and is covered which makes it perfect for observing games and training, even in wet weather.

SDFC has also recently benefited from building a new storage shed behind the change-rooms, where all equipment and uniforms are stored.
